A Message from Our Superintendent

Our mission is to prepare Moniteau students to achieve their fullest potential as they face the challenges of life.

Greetings Warrior Families,

I hope this letter finds everyone well and enjoying the last few weeks of the summer break. The summer seemed to go by very fast! As we begin a new year, I would like to begin by saying how grateful I am to be a part of this wonderful, caring, and dedicated educational community. I am truly honored to be a member of a community of dedicated parents, teachers, custodians, paraprofessionals, food service workers, secretaries, administrators, and school board members. Working together in a professional and collaborative manner has helped provide a safe and caring environment for our students to learn and grow. It is my hope and expectations that this year will be no different. As we begin a fresh new year, I challenge everyone to continue to do what is right to make Moniteau an even better place to work and learn.

I would like to thank everyone who worked over the summer to prepare for the upcoming school year. When you return, you will see for yourself how wonderful our buildings look. A big thank you to our custodians and summer helpers for the countless hours of hard work to make our buildings shine! Also, a big thank you to everyone behind the scenes in preparing to start a new year.

We have been very busy interviewing and hiring new Moniteau staff members for the 2019–2020 school year. Please join me in welcoming:

  • Matthew Knox - Social Studies Teacher
  • Ashley Dillon - Grade 4
  • Amy Baptiste - Grade 3
  • Lauren Neuhaeusler - Grade 5
  • Camille Taylor - Kindergarten

In addition, we are currently finalizing filling the positions for director of special education, certified school nurse (Dassa), school police officer, and food service workers.

As you can see, it has been a very busy summer! I would like to wish everyone a wonderful and fulfilling school year. Please know that I am humbled to be a part of such a great community. I truly believe that through positive communication and collaboration, our educational community will do great things. Just remember...

"In every day, there are 1,440 minutes. That means we have 1,440 daily opportunities to make a positive impact" - Les Brown. Let's try everyday to make a positive impact in the lives of the students and colleagues we support. Have a great year.
